How can I determine the CPU platform to use before querying the OS compatibility?  
1.  
Select the server model.  
Select Processor from the Item field, and select CPU from the Type field.  
Click Search.

In the Processor compatibility query results list, you can enter the CPU model or keywords  
to filter CPUs in the list.

Why must I select a CPU platform before querying the compatible operating systems for a  
host?  
A server might support multiple CPU platforms. The compatible operating systems vary by CPU  
platform.

How can I query the compatible operating systems for the embedded RAID controller?  
See Figure 4. Select the AHCI or RSTe model.  
AHCI: Specifies the AHCI mode of the embedded RAID controller.  
RSTe: Specifies the RAID mode of the embedded RAID controller.

Can I install multiple storage controllers on a physical server since I can select multiple  
controllers in the component OS lookup tool?  
Yes. You can install multiple storage controllers on a server based on the query result. The tool does  
not limit the number of storage controllers, GPUs, or network adapters that can be installed on a  
server.

Why can't I query the OS compatibility for components such as drives?  
Components not displayed in the tool are compatible with all operating systems, including CPUs,  
drives, and memory.  
What can I do if I cannot find the target component in the tool?  
1.  
Verify that the server model is selected correctly.

Open the Compatibility Matrix by Server Component tool, enter the component model or  
product code, and click Search. If your host model is not in the query result, contact Technical  
Support.

How can I clear a filtering criterion when querying component OS compatibility?  
Click the icon for the filtering criterion.

Why is a driver version displayed when the Driver & Firmware Link field is empty, which  
indicates that the system's built-in driver is compatible?  
The displayed driver version is the version of the system's built-in driver.  
Why is the Driver Version field empty when the Driver & Firmware Link field displays a link  
for driver installation?  
Contact Technical Support to obtain the specific driver version.  
What should I do if I cannot find the displayed driver version and firmware version by  
clicking the link in the Driver & Firmware Link field?
